Vintage Engagement-MDSM84

Hello again!  This is my second post of the day, so if you are looking for my Stampin' Celebration challenge post, scroll down to see that... if not... keep reading... this is my post for the MDS Monday challenge!  Tami's got a great sketch for us, and a challenge to combine it with some vintage or grunge elements, so dig out those heritage photos!

My layout mirrors the sketch and actually has no journalling!  Oops... all in the name of creativity!  But it sure is vintage.... although my husband was quick to point out that he didn't like that colour and certainly he didn't understand that it was Crisp Cantaloupe specifically!  He just "didn't think it looked very vintage, that's all".... he obviously doesn't share my vision!  Ha!

This is a lovely picture of my gorgeous Mom and handsome Dad.  I know you're looking at this Mom... you're beautiful!  I love you!  And this is so vintage because it's totally right out of the 70's right?  Right!  Isn't anything over 30 years vintage?  Uh... what does that make me?  Okaaayyy... moving right along....

Challenge Guidelines:
-Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.

Thanks A Bunch-SC88

Good morning... it's another Monday, so... time for a new challenge again at Stampin' Celebration!  Today we've got a great inspiration challenge.  Take a peek at this...

Doesn't this get you all excited for fall?  Don't get me wrong... I love summer and all the sunshine-y gloriousness that brings us... but you gotta admit that there's something about being cozy inside while the rain is falling outside, crockpot meals, reading in front of the fireplace.... tucking the kids in early..."because look how late you stayed up, it's dark out already!"  (Although admittedly that only really works with  our three year old these days!)  But anyway... the challenge... here's what I came up with...

I needed ALOT of thank you cards these last couple weeks, as I just had surgery and was absolutely overwhelmed, I tell you, by the people that brought our family meals, flowers, gifts, made my kids' school lunches, babysat, had play dates for my kids, etc.  Overwhelmed... it doesn't even seem like an adequate enough word!  But it was the perfect opportunity to make a fall-ish 'thank you' card.

Click on over to Stampin' Celebration, check out what the other designers have created, read the guidelines, and make sure you take some time to play along with our challenge.  See you in the gallery!

Hello and welcome to another Stampin' Celebration!  This is not my only post for today... if you are looking for MDS Monday.... just scroll down.... it's there somewhere!  But if you are here for another Stampin' Celebration challenge... read on!!!

We've got a sketch for you from Wendi today!  I have to be honest... it had me stumped... and on top of it all, I'm recovering from a surgery I had last Wednesday.... so I didn't feel on top of my game at all... but it is what it is!  Here's the sketch....

... and here's a card I made... I've been seeing feathers everywhere.... so thought I'd try my had at it too!  I don't know though... I think this card needs a little more love... I think I'll revisit it when I'm feeling a little better!

Don't forget to check out the Stampin' Celebration blog to see what all the other fabulous team members have created.... get inspired... and get playing with us.  See you in the gallery!

Happy Monday to you all!  I'm back with another post for another MDS Monday challenge!  How did you like the sketch last week!  I hope you'll make time to play with us this week, as we have another awesome sketch for you today!  This one is brought to us by Tara!  I just loved it!

Here's an adorable picture of my youngest daughter that the photographer (Urban Fig Photography) captured on my sister in law's wedding last April.  I just love how everyone else in the sanctuary is facing forward, and she is the only one looking to the back!  Of course, when I want her to sit still in church, I am sure I will not think it is so cute when she's facing the back all the time!

I {Heart] These Girls! MDSM81

Happy Monday!  I am pleased to welcome you to another challenge for MDS Monday!  If you haven't played with us before... make this week your first time!  The inspiration absolutely abounds!

Beth has this fantastic sketch for us this week, and she also wants us to highlight something, anything, or someplace that we love!

Well, I love a few things, but the first thing that comes to mind is of course my family!  My husband asked me why there were not five pictures of him on here... and... I saved myself by saying that I wanted to fill the whole thing up with pictures of him... but that I couldn't find that many, so had to use ones of our girls!  Ahhhh... he's a great husband and daddy.... and surely loves his house full of girls... and we love him dearly too!!!!

I used Watercolour Wonder DSP for my project, some Downtown Grunge elements (this remains my most used download!), a paper doily recoloured to Island Indigo, a burlap banner and my font is Blockography.  Oh, I also used a watercoloured-look heart from Beautiful Today with a couple freeform hearts over it for definition!

Exciting Announcement!!!!

Hello again!   That's right... I'm back with another post.... this one for MDS Monday!  I was completely thrilled and honoured to be invited to design alongside some of the most fabulous designers on the MDS Monday Design Team!  Pinch me!  I still can't quite believe it!

But here I am, so let's get to the challenge shall we?

Heidi has a fantastic sketch for us...

It was fun to make one of my first Project Life type layouts... I don't actually have any of the PL products... but it was so easy to make up my own!

I used some pictures that we had taken of our family on New Years Day of this year... yes, I know... I am finally getting to them!  But I love the way this layout turned out, so it was worth the wait I think, don't you?  The family quote is one I found online, but don't know where or who it's from.  My colours (which I just love!) are Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tangelo and Strawberry Slush.

Stampin' Celebration in September! SC86

Well, with September here... we have another challenge for y'all!  It's a beautiful inspiration challenge!  Check it out!

You could take the gold, the colours, the flowers, the cake, the table decor... anything... the sky's the limit!  I used the colours... Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey, along with some gold accents, to design a layout about my youngest little girl at her Preschool Christmas Program.  The whole page doesn't look to Christmas-sy really, but the picture isn't really focussing on anything Christmas either.... the picture was actually taken afterward when we were having refreshments and doing some crafts together!  I wish I could be a fly on the wall at her preschool!  She's sure her own little self there!

I also used a layout from Cindy Schuster (again!) where I liked the way all her page elements were laid out... so I CASEd that.

I'm really not to gone on the whole Hello Honey background... it just seems a little too... something, you  know?  But it is what it is now, and perhaps if it bothers me enough, I'll go back and change it!

Click over to Stampin' Celebration to see what all the other awesome designers have got for you, and then be sure to play along with us, and come back at the end of the challenge to cote for your favourite!  You could be the Pick of the Party!
