Cutest Baby Ever! PPA178

Oh boy... another post for today!  I was seriously on a roll this weekend with making cards!  So relaxing!  And that's good, because we have some serious yard work to do today!  So let's get right to it!

This is such an adorable colour combo and you could go in a few different directions with it... but I chose to go in the baby girl direction!  I really needed to make a few baby cards, mostly girl ones, so.... check it out!

Isn't it cute?  I did CASE the layout and idea from another demo, but with my own colours and stamps I made it mine!  That's what I love... there is just a wealth of great ideas out there from people who love to share!  Perfect!  I am definitely going to be re-creating this one in a boy colour combo as well.  I think it's so cute!

Hello... Happy Monday!  It's the start of a brand new work week... so I'll just get the show on the road here, as I have lots of fun things to do.... and some not so fun.... my Big Shot bit the dust this weekend.  It is five years old, so it was bound to happen sometime.  My husband took it all apart and found that it needs a couple new parts.... so we'll see what that costs!!!! (fingers crossed!)

I am linking up with three challenges today.  I needed to make a birthday card for my niece, she'll be having a birthday in a couple weeks, so I played along at the Paper Players with their CAS For Kids challenge!  I used the Freshly Made Sketch and the fresh colour combo from the Pals Paper Arts.  

Here's my card!

It's a pretty easy card to replicate... and I have to be honest.... I am not totally happy with this because I had wanted to run the card base through the Big Shot with an embossing folder.... but ALAS.... BROKEN BIG SHOT!!!  Boo hoo!  So I went ahead with the sponging and no embossing, and I guess it looks alright, but still.... you know when you had something different pictured in your mind, right?

Joy - Jump For It! PPA167

Good morning everybody!  I managed to slip in a little MDS playtime over the weekend.... not sure yet how, what with BBQ's, pool parties, and birthday parties!  What matters is that I did!  And I used the colour combo over at the Pals Paper Arts blog for some inspiration.  I also used the sketch from the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration blog from last month.  I really liked it and hadn't had a chance to work with it, so even though the challenge is closed, I still used it.  Go check it out!

 

What a gorgeous colour combo, eh?  My layout came together so easily.  I had to recolour a few things to get the right colours.  Amazing... you mean I don't have everything?  That's right, I don't!  But with MDS you can usually get whatever you want, it just takes a little fooling around!  Anyway, here's my layout!

I thought the colour combo felt like so spring-like, so I went right for these pictures of my middle daughter, when we were outside really enjoying one of the first beautiful days of spring this year!
